Vermont Scenery

Today, we took another recommended driving loop in central Vermont to view the scenery.  In talking to the local people, they tell us that there was never a peak in color this year, but we believe it may have taken place a few days before we arrived in Vermont.  However, for us, the colors have been beautiful.

 

The 30th President of the United States was Calvin Coolidge.  He led the nation through most of the Roaring Twenties.  Today, we passed by his birthplace in Plymouth Notch, Vermont.  He was inaugurated at the site where he was born and was buried at a cemetery near his birthplace.
