Cooperstown, New York

Yesterday, we drove to the Cooperstown, New York area.  When we left White River Junction, Vermont, we saw some of the most beautiful scenery of our trip in the southern part of Vermont.  We had heard that the color peaks later in southern Vermont farther away from the Canadian border.  We believe it!

Today, we went to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.  It was very interesting, especially for me who loves baseball.  The picture of Babe Ruth and Ted Williams were life-size figures made totally from a single piece of basswood.  No cloth, stone or cermanic was used.

Doubleday Field was where the first game of baseball was played.  Abner Doubleday is considered as the inventor of baseball.

I made pictures of the Hall of Fame Induction Plaques of some of my favorite baseball players.
